The Hebrew word for "before" is "panim" (#6440) - it means to turn, a face, the surface of a body, a synonym for a person's appearance. Beth Moore, in The Names of God, describes this idea as "walk facing me - stay face to face - stay to the front."
The Hebrew word for "blameless" is "tamiym" (SC#8549) - it means integrity, truth, without blemish, without spot, complete, full, perfect, sincerely, sound, undefiled, upright, whole.
Integrity is the quality of being honest, having strong moral principles, honor, good character, ethics, righteousness, virtue, decency, fairness, sincerity, truthfulness, trustworthiness. It is also defined as the state of being whole and undivided. Unity, togetherness, solidarity.

When we walk blamelessly, in integrity and truth, we are positioned to have fellowship with God.
The word "blameless" includes the further definition of without blemish or spot. Christ our Redeemer is described as a lamb without blemish or spot.
God made us, the Bride of Christ, to be holy, like him. We are commanded to conduct our lives in holiness, but we can't make ourselves holy. Only God can make us holy. He has placed us in a position of holiness. He accomplished this through the sacrificial blood of Jesus Christ. We are to walk it out with him one day at a time. One day, we, the church, the Bride of Christ, will be presented holy and blameless to our Bridegroom, the LORD Jesus Christ. We will take a closer look at "holiness" when we study Yahweh Mekoddishkem, The LORD our Sanctifier.
- “May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope is in you.” Psalm 25:21
- “In my integrity you uphold me and set me in your presence forever.” Psalm 41:12

- (You were redeemed) “with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.” 1 Peter 1:19
- We are instructed to "make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him." 2 Peter 3:14
- “Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked.” Daniel 12:10
- "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.” Ephesians 5:25-27
- ”And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you maybe able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ-to the glory and praise of God.” Philippians 1:9-11
- “The righteous lead blameless lives; blessed are their children after them.” Proverbs 11:3
Faith and love need to be perfected in us. This happens when our faith and works are working together, getting a revelation of God's love for us, as we endure trials and love our enemies.
The New Testament Greek word for "perfect" is the word "teleios (#5046)." It means complete, (in various applications of labor, growth, mental character, etc.), completeness, of full age, man, perfect.
- “Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up Isaac his son on the altar? You see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected.” James 2:21-22
- “Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” James 1:2-4
- “We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world.” 1 John 4:16-17
- “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes the sun to rise on the evil and the good, and send rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even the pagans do that? Be perfect, just as your father in heaven is perfect.” Matthew 5:43-48
Summary ~
No one is blameless, spotless or perfect. Only God can make that happen in us. We are all in process. When we take our eyes off of God, it is easier to allow sin in our lives. This breaks our fellowship with Him. When that happens, he wants us to stop, genuinely repent, receive His forgiveness, change our ways and move forward. We learn as we go. We learn through the Word of God. We learn from our sin. We are in the process of being perfected, but we will not be perfect until we are presented to our Bridegroom.
Jesus Christ, the Second Person of the Trinity and One with the Father, kept his eyes on his Heavenly Father. He only did what he saw his Father do.
"I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does, the Son does also." John 5:19
Jesus Christ is TRUTH and LOVE.
"He is the way, the truth and the life." (John 14:6)
"Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." (John 15:13)
Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God, spotless, sinless and without blemish, who came to take away the sin of the world. He endured trials and he was obedient unto death on the cross.
"During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him." Hebrews 5:7-9
Jesus was and is perfectly united with his Father. Jesus prayed that he himself would be in us, and his Father would be in him, that we may become perfectly one, so that the world would know that the Father sent him and loved us like he loved His Son. (John 17:23) This word "perfectly" is the Greek word teleioo (#5048) and means to complete, accomplish or consummate, consecrate, finish, fulfill, make perfect.
"When that which is perfect comes, the imperfect will disappear." (1 Corinthians 13:10)
We are designed for fellowship with God.
Once he has revealed himself to us, we are to keep our eyes on him. We get to walk in faith and obedience, trusting him. He wants us to communicate with him. He wants us to listen to him and talk to him. He wants us to inquire of him as we go through the different seasons of our lives. Staying in an attitude of communication with him throughout each day will help us stay connected him.
We have been called to do what Jesus Christ did.
“I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name and I will do it.” John 14:12-14
God wants us to enjoy a genuine relationship with him. He loves to be with us. That is what he is after with us. That is what his Son died for. That is what his goal is for us. That is the gospel…the GOOD NEWS of JESUS CHRIST! (See John 3:16) He wants to be with us, His creation. Forever. He has made provision for that through the blood of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Faith and love are being perfected in us. Get a revelation of God's love for you and the whole world!
With those things in mind, it seems reasonable that Paul earnestly desires for us to walk worthy of the LORD's calling. “Therefore, I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called.” Ephesians 4:1
