Days of Praise ~ El Shaddai, Almighty God

There was no hope of Abraham and Sarah having a child, yet, you are a covenant-making God, and nothing is impossible with you. Whatever your plan is for our lives, no matter how impossible it may seem, and in spite of how we can try to be the ones to make your plans work, you will make it happen as we walk with you. You are faithful to fulfill your promises, plans, desires and purposes for our lives.

As Abraham was instructed, so we are also instructed to walk blameless before you, sincerely and with integrity, recognizing and responding to your truth, and in the face-to-face communion of conversation with you. We will make every effort to be found spotless, blameless, and at peace with you as we listen, trust and obey. The day is coming when we, the body of Christ, will be presented spotless and blameless to you.

We believe and know that you can and will do what you desire in our lives. Nothing is too hard for you. We have laughed and doubted your plans for us at times. Since you love us, you will chasten us when we need it, like you did with Sarah when she laughed. We purpose to never laugh or doubt you again. We purpose to take you at your word and trust you with our lives. You told us that you discipline us so that we may share in your holiness. Why would we ever even slightly doubt that you are always concerned with every aspect of our lives? We will believe and obey, and trust you to do your part.

We are children of Abraham, the Father of faith. It was credited as righteousness for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. We have been crucified with Christ, buried with him and raised with him. Abraham’s blessing came to the Gentiles through Jesus Christ, so that by faith, we might receive the promise of the Spirit. You have made us heirs, and joint heirs with Jesus Christ.

We praise you that your fullness dwells in us, the body of Christ. You are constantly filling us with your fullness. You are able to do immeasurably more than all we could ask or imagine. You supply our needs. You know what we need before we know.

*We can trust you to supply what is lacking in our faith.
*We can trust you to generously supply all the wisdom we need.
*We can trust you to fill us with the knowledge of your will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.

Living water, the bread of life and eternal life are examples of how you give your Spirit without measure. Out of your glorious riches you strengthen us with power through the Holy Spirit, who lives and works in us, so Christ can live in our hearts through faith. You are the vine and we are the branches. Apart from you we can do nothing, but with you, and placing our trust in you regarding any and all circumstances, the impossible becomes the possible. We purpose to be more aware of your Holy Spirit working in and through us.

You love to fill us until our cup overflows! When we are in your presence we can actually feel our hearts overflowing with you. You have come to give abundant life, the God-kind of life. It is your nature to be a giver and sustainer of life. Help us nurture others.

In understanding how you designed us to walk in love, we will have power, with the body of Christ, to know the fullness of your love. You have called us to love others and be fruitful in the things we set our hands to do.

We praise you that you are the God of hope. As we trust you, you fill us with all of the fruit of your Spirit; love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, kindness, faithfulness and self control, so that we overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Your grace is sufficient for us so that we will be thoroughly equipped for every good work, and your power is made perfect in our weakness. Our integrity, trials, increasing love, righteousness, discernment and fellowship with you and your word will perfect us in Christ.

El Shaddai, You are the ONLY ONE who can accomplish the IMPOSSIBLE! We praise you for your covenant blessings and your desire to do great things in and through us! We praise you that you love to make a way where there seems to be no way!

You are the God who is More Than Enough, and you are More Than Enough for us, in every circumstance.

Days of Praise ~ Avi HaRachamim ~ Father of Mercies

Exodus 34:5-6 "And the LORD passed by in front of him and proclaimed, “The LORD the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering and abundant in goodness and truth." (See Nehemiah 9:17)

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NAS) "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; Who comforts us in all our affliction so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."

The Mercy of the LORD

  • It is your good pleasure, great joy and delight to show mercy!
  • You are rich and full of mercy!
  • Your mercy is displayed from Genesis to Revelation.
  • When we repent, we will receive your total mercy.
  • When we boldly approach your throne, we receive mercy and grace in time of need.
  • Your mercies are new every morning.
  • You have compassion for the lost.
  • You saved us because of your mercy, through Jesus Christ.
  • The Ark of the Testimony is your meeting place, and your mercy seat represents your divine presence and mercy.
  • Your mercy is always available to us.

Your instructions regarding our mercy...

  • Our mercy should always be available to others.
  • If we withhold mercy, even though they may be undeserving, you will withhold it from us until you are satisfied that we have shown it to others.
  • We will show our appreciation of your mercy by extending it to others!
  • As you have comforted us, we will comfort others.
  • Help us to delight, as you do, in showing your mercy!
  • We ask for your mercy.
  • We hope in your mercy.
  • We wait for your mercy.
  • We trust in your mercy.
  • We will be merciful.
  • We will reap mercy.

Father of Mercies, we recognize, honor, praise and worship you for your amazing mercy!

Days of Praise ~ Abba Father

Foundation Scripture: Romans 8:14-17 "Those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs-heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory."

As Our Father…..

  • You know everything there is to know about us.
  • You made us.
  • You love us unimaginably.
  • You always have your eyes on us.
  • You make your face shine on us.
  • You bless us abundantly.
  • You are blessed when we are a blessing.
  • You take especially good care of us.
  • We are the apple of your eye, even when we mess up.
  • We make you smile and laugh.
  • You know best!

When we put ourselves in your shoes as though you were our parent...

  • We believe you want us to exercise our responsibilities.
  • You don’t want us to assume, but to ask.
  • If something needs to be done, and we know we need to do it, you just expect us to do it.

How do we show our love to Father God?

  • Through the love languages of prayer, praise, intimacy, service, tithes and offerings, gifts, and quality time in your presence.
  • Through obedience to do the things you ask of us even when, sometimes, we really would rather not!
  • By expressing our thankfulness and appreciation to you.
  • By purposing to be in the secret place with you.

We praise you for the way you show your love.

  • Your love language includes your sacrifice, salvation by grace, words of affirmation, intimacy, and gifts.
  • You love, adopt, protect, provide, correct, instruct and bless us.

Jesus came to show us the Father.

  • We praise you for sending Jesus to reveal you as our Father!
  • We will follow Jesus’ example to honor you, look to you, and do what we see you do.

Abba Father, We praise you that you are our Heavenly Father!

  • We are so grateful for our personal, intimate relationship with you, which is superior to that of our earthly Fathers, whom we love dearly.
  • How amazing that Jesus Christ is the Son of his Father in heaven, and we are the sons and daughters of His Father!
  • We cannot truly comprehend it!
  • Just as Jesus did the will of his Father who sent him, we desire to do the will of you who sent us.
  • Thank you for drawing us to you.
  • You were the only one who could do that!

Abba Father, you are our daddy, and we are your sons and daughters!

Days of Praise ~ Yahweh Sabaoth ~ The LORD of Hosts

“Now when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went up to him and asked, “Are you for us or for our enemies?” “Neither,” he replied, “but as commander of the armies of the LORD I have now come.” (Joshua 5:13-15)

Jehovah Sabaoth, The LORD of Hosts, we worship and reverence you, God of angelic armies!

By Your Spirit!

Our battle is not against flesh and blood but against powers, principalities and rulers of the darkness of this world in spiritual places. We win battles not by might nor power, but by your Spirit! When we are faithful to put you first, you rebuke the devourer. You have power to fight for us on our behalf when we wear your armor. We are blessed as we trust in you. We ask and believe this: If you are for us, who can be against us? We will remain submitted to you and our enemies will flee. We praise and trust in the LORD of hosts.

  • You are enthroned between the cherubim.
  • You are holy, zealous, righteous and strong.
  • Nothing can stop your plans!
  • Your counsel is perfect. You plead our cause.
  • You are the King of Glory, exalted among the nations, and exalted at the throne of our hearts!
  • You are with us, our refuge and redeemer.
  • We can expect protection, guidance, help to fight the battles, explanation of visions and to attend to us in our time of need.
  • We will counsel with you before a battle by listening, asking, hearing and obeying.
  • We are your special possessions and will be spared as we would spare our own child.

Angelic Hosts

Your angels see all we do.
When angels look at us they also see your face at the same time! Angels minister to us by your Spirit.
You are very interested in what we say about you!
Angels and demons listen to what we say.
Angels write our words about you in a scroll of remembrance!
Let us always speak what is pleasing to you.
We will be careful what we say about you, ourselves and others. We will meditate on and speak your name.
We worship and revere you.
We pray that we will become more aware of your angels!
We are never alone, and desire to be more aware of that.
You are always with us.
We praise and trust in the LORD of hosts!

We praise Jesus for his victory and ours!

Jesus triumphed over principalities and powers. As we submit to Him, we are more than conquerors through Him. Our strength is in Him. He gave us his keys. The enemy flees when we resist him.We are victorious by the power of his Spirit!

Days of Praise ~ El Kanna ~ The Jealous God

  • “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.” (Exodus 20:4-6 KJV)
  • “ For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.” (Exodus 34:14 KJV)
  • "The Spirit Whom He has caused to dwell in us yearns over us, and He yearns for the Spirit to be welcome with a jealous love." (James 4:4-7)

El Kanna, you are the Jealous God and we worship you alone. We praise you because you yearn for us intensely with a jealous love.

We Praise You for Your Discipline!

You have a holy, righteous zeal for your name and your glory. You cannot tolerate unfaithfulness. When we place something or someone above you, you will bring it to our attention and deal with us. We do not want to taste your jealous wrath! Since you love us, you discipline us for our good when we have disobeyed you. You truly have our best interests at heart. When we repent, you redeem us. Your purpose in disciplining us is to restore us to yourself.

We Praise You for Your Mercy!

We are consumed with who you are. We choose to love you and keep your commands. If we love you, we will do those things that you command, even if part of us doesn't really want to. We will do it because it is  your will, and your will shall become our will! Thank you that you will show mercy to a thousand generations! When we model a loving relationship with you to our children, they see it and experience it first-hand. They embrace it and pass it down to their children, and their children's children. When we are in right-standing with you, and keep you first place in our lives, you notice. You find opportunities to bless us. You love to reward us and then watch our reaction when we figure out what you did! Thank you for showing us when you are pleased with our jealous and zealous love for you!

We praise you for paying such a great price for us.

You paid the highest price possible for us by sending your Son to rescue us. This assures us of your love for us, which can never be questioned. We worship, love, honor and adore you. We know that you are jealous for us, and we believe it!

We Praise You for Pursuing Us!

You have pursued us throughout our lives. You reveal yourself to your creation. You come after us with an intensity that reaches every part of our being. We are completely undone by your powerful and magnetic love and presence. You pursue us, then we pursue you!

What does jealous love mean?

Do you remember the first time you fell in love? Do you remember thinking about the one you were in love with morning, noon and night? Do you recall being consumed? There was no time for anyone else! You would wonder and daydream about your future together. You would think about how you could be a blessing. You couldn't wait until the next time you would be together! This is how our Jealous God feels about us and this is how he wants us to feel about him.

Because you are a jealous God, you want us to be jealous for you, and for your love and attention.  It is a divine mystery that your Holy Spirit lives in us and that we can communicate with each other! We are aware that you know when we think of you, and what we are thinking. You reveal your thoughts to us. You cherish your relationship with us and you want us to cherish it too. Let our zeal for you be contagious and motivate others to godly jealousy! Let zeal for you and your house consume us!

Only you can truly satisfy.

The world is so deceptive. It can only offer temporary satisfaction. Satisfaction wanes, and there is always a price to pay. It leaves us feeling miserable and empty. Only you can truly satisfy. We were made to be completely satisfied with you alone, our Creator, our Jealous God. No one loves us like you do!

We praise our Jealous God, who is jealous for us and goes after us so that we may enjoy unending fellowship!

Days of Praise ~ Yahweh Tsuri ~ The LORD Our Rock

Jesus Christ is our Rock from the beginning.

This ‘name’ is first mentioned in Genesis 49:24. “But his (Joseph) bow remained steady, his strong arms stayed limber, because of the hand of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock (SC#68 eben=stone) of Israel.”

Jesus Christ was the Rock that Moses struck!
"For they drank from the spiritual rock that traveled with them, and that rock was Christ." (1 Corinthians 10:4)

Jesus is the Rock of Offense, Precious Cornerstone, Capstone, Foundation  and Living Stone.
Jesus was the stone the builders rejected, and has become the cornerstone of God’s church.
  • “The LORD Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy. He is the one you are to fear, dread, and he will be a sanctuary; but for both the houses of Israel he will be a stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall. And for the people of Jerusalem he will be a trap and a snare.” (Isaiah 8:13-14)
  • Peter quotes Psalm 118:22-23 in Acts 4:11 when he addresses the Sanhedrin. “He is the stone you builders rejected, which has become the capstone.
  • Ephesians 2:20 “the Rock upon which the church is built… on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.
  • 1 Corinthians 3:10-11 “By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.
  • “As you come to him, the Living Stone, rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him-you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For scripture says, See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame. Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone, and A stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall. They stumble because they disobey the message, which is what they were destined for.” (1 Peter 2:4-8)
  • This stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes men fall is also found in Daniel. Daniel 2:34-5  “While you were watching, a rock was cut out, but not by human hands. It struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay and smashed them Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold were broken to pieces at the same time and became like chaff on a threshing floor in the summer. The wind swept them away without leaving a trace. But the rock that struck the statue became a huge mountain and filled the whole earth.
  • Acts 4:8-12 “Then Peter, filled with the Holy Sprit, said to them: “Rulers and elders of the people! If we are being called to account today for an act of kindness shown to a man who was lame and are being asked how he was healed, then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. Jesus is “the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’ Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

This scripture is loaded with the attributes of the LORD Our Rock! There are many more in the study of this name, which will resume after the 21 Days of Praise.

“The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer, my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation. He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior-from violent men you save me. I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies. There is no one holy like the LORD; there is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.” 2 Samuel 22:2-4 (also Psalm 18:2-3)

  • You are the rock of our salvation!
  • You are mighty in strength and power!
  • You are a valiant warrior, a roaring champion.
  • You are perfect, just and faithful.
  • You are a fortress, strong tower and shelter against the foe!
  • You are the refuge that the righteous run to.
  • You train our hands for war, our fingers for battle!
  • You give us your shield of protection.
  • You are our defender and deliverer.
  • You will rescue and deliver us from the traps set before us
  • You will give the command to save us.
  • You are strong, powerful, yet also kind-hearted to the needy.
  • You are our Rock who fathers us.
  • You are with us wherever we go.
  • You bring the victory!

We will honor you, trust you, call to you and inquire of you, hear you, obey you and rest in you!

  • We will honor you as holy in the sight of others.
  • We will not put you to the test.
  • We will ask and not complain!
  • We will inquire and not presume!
  • We must obey or reap the consequences.
  • We will not forget the wonders you have done.
  • We will not limit you or ourselves in our thoughts or actions.
  • We trust you now and forever in any and all circumstances.
  • We will never be shaken or put to shame.
  • When we focus on you, you faithfully give us perfect peace.
  • We call to you from the ends of the earth and we are saved.
  • We trust you to help us hear that still small voice more often!!
  • When we hear, we will obey, and then we are made wise.
  • You answer us when we call.
  • We will patiently rest in you.
  • We have a place of complete security in you.
  • You are the living water.
  • We drink daily of our spiritual Rock, Jesus Christ, who accompanies us.

You are building us into a holy priesthood!

  • Unless you build the house, we will labor in vain.
  • You are our foundation.
  • We are building on you and you are building us in you.
  • You are making us into a precious stone, designed by you.
  • We are being carefully crafted and faceted to fit into your body exactly where you want us.
  • We need to get a revelation that we are a treasure to you.
  • We need to get a revelation that everyone is a treasure to you.
  • You are the living stone and cornerstone and we are living stones, being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood!
  • Make us an effective and supportive part of the body of Christ to the fullest extent possible, according to your plans and purposes.

We praise the LORD Our Rock!

  • You expect us to depend on you and be like you.
  • We commemorate who you are and what you have done!
  • You have made provision for our eternal salvation.
  • We praise and exalt you, our Rock and Living Stone.
  • Truly, there is no one holy like you LORD!
  • There is no rock like our God!
